Dakota Johnson Recalls Jamie Dornan's Support during Fifty Shades Filming Challenges

Filming intimate scenes is never easy, especially in a movie like Sam Taylor-Johnson's Fifty Shades trilogy. The romantic drama, based on E. L. James' novel, features sensual moments between leads Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Despite the discomfort of such scenes, both actors supported each other throughout the process.

In an interview with Glamour, Dakota Johnson shared the challenges of filming the sensual scenes, particularly in the Red Room. Even after the director called 'Cut,' Johnson found herself still tied to the bed, a situation she described as stressful. She praised Jamie Dornan for being the first to cover her with a blanket, emphasizing his efforts to make her feel safe.

While Dornan explored dominant-submissive sessions for his role, Johnson prepared differently by reading about BDSM culture. She expressed pride in her portrayal of Anastasia Steele, dismissing the perception of the character as weak. Johnson believes Anastasia's choices demonstrate her strength and rejects the notion that Fifty Shades of Grey is "anti-feminist."

Despite her pride in the work, Johnson prefers her family and friends not to watch the trilogy, highlighting a desire to keep certain aspects of her career private.
